Bike to Bike Radio
The Nolan N-Com communication system can be used to communicate among several motorcycles by using portable radios (PMR protocol in Europe, GMRS protocol in the USA).
By connecting the special cable to the system, it is possible to talk to another rider, keeping the intercom connection with your passenger at the same time.
Several bikes can communicate by tuning their radios to the same broadcasting channel.
Following is the chart of the radios that can be connected to the N-Com systems and the relevant cables to be used.

CONNECTION TO MIDLAND 445 BT
It is possible to connect the Bluetooth Kit2 system (or the Bluetooth Kit or Bluetooth Kit X-Series) to the PMR Midland 445BT radio and operate the communication between the N-Com helmet and the radio via Bluetooth.

It is possible to use the VOX function (voice recognition to activate the communication); follow the instructions given for the PMR radio.
For other advanced functions, please refer to the instruction manual supplied with the Midland radio.
USE WITH BLUETOOTH KIT2 / BLUETOOTH KIT X-Series
Perform the pair-up between the Bluetooth Kit2 (or Bluetooth kit X-Series) and the radio – proceed as with any Bluetooth device, following the instructions given for the pairing up of the radio.
After the pairing-up, the devices are recognized automatically and it is possible to begin the conversation by pressing the PTT key on the radio.
When the Bluetooth communication between the helmet and the Midland 445BT radio is on, the Bluetooth intercom communication is momentarily suspended; it will be automatically restored at the end of the communication with the PMR radio. It is not possible to connect another Bluetooth device (Tel, GPS) to the helmet via Bluetooth while communication with the radio is activated.
USE WITH BLUETOOTH KIT
The N-Com Bluetooth Kit has to be paired up with the radio by using the headset (HS) procedure; simultaneously it is necessary to proceed with the pairing up on the PMR radio by following the instruction given for the device.
After the pairing-up, the devices are recognized automatically and it is possible to begin the conversation by pressing the PTT key on the radio.
When the Bluetooth communication between the helmet and the Midland 445BT radio is on, the Bluetooth intercom communication with the passenger is not possible (N-Com Intercom Bluetooth), and it is not possible to connect another Bluetooth device (Tel, GPS) to the helmet via Bluetooth.
USE WITH INTERCOM KIT (or with other intercom connections via cable)
If the intercom communication with the passenger is via cable, this will be momentarily suspended every time the Bluetooth communication with the radio is activated.
Warning: Listening to other equipment should not interfere with driving the vehicle, which must be the top priority
at all times. Carry out all operations on the electronic equipment and on the N-Com system with the vehicle stopped,
in compliance with Traffic Regulations.
Warning: Listening at high volumes can distract you from driving the vehicle and may result in dangerous situations
or reduce the ability to hear external noise. Adjust the volume before using the system on the road.
Warning: Adjust the volume of the N-Com system (if equipped) and of the audio sources connected to it to avoid audio reproduction at high volumes. Constant exposure to high audio volumes may damage your hearing.
